
The participant must agree to the following terms and conditions prior to booking their place in the event.

To park only in the designated parking areas as directed by the marshals.

If competitors are knowingly under prepared, have a medical illness or any other condition which may compromise their safety and the safety of the support services they must not take part in the event.

Competitors must supply an up to date contact for a Responsible person to the organisers prior to participating.

Race Numbers must be worn throughout the race.

Participants are to follow covid guidelines at the registration area.

All participants must arrive promptly at their designated registration and start time. (if you are late for unforeseen circumstances please contact the race director and wait until a suitable space occurs to register and start).

Participants are responsible for their own safety. The route crosses a number of main roads and occasionally along quiet single track lanes Earphones are Not permitted at these points.

Dogs are NOT permitted at the summer event.

Participants are not permitted to run with buggies as the course is narrow and crosses fields and styles in places.

All participants agree to abide by the rules of the event and that the officials' decision is final.

All Participants agree to follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and council officials before, during and after the event.

Competitors who fail any kit check will not be allowed to participate in the race and no refund will be provided.

Competitors must act in a manner which ensures minimal impact upon the event route and be courteous to those who live and work there. Any competitor not acting in this manner either during or before the event, will be disqualified and their entry fee will not be refunded. This is including but not limited to:

Littering on the route

Knowingly trespassing or taking a route that is not public access

Damaging property or structures

If I am unable to take part I understand that there will be no refund of race entries and I will not allow anyone else to use my number.

All participants understand that photographs may be taken of them during the race by the race photographer and confirm that they are happy for images to be used on any future race publicity materials including race posters, photographs on the race website or on race publicity flyers.The organisers will not use any images of children without specific permission in addition to the agreement requested here.

This is a multi-terrain event and all competitors enter it at their own risk. No liability will be accepted by either Run Orwell, Friends of Petersfield School, Landowners or individual race organisers for any loss, damage, injury or illness incurred by entering this race.

If Participants choose to retire at any point they must advise the race director immediately.

All Participants understand that in the interest of safety, the Race Director and event officials, in consultation with the Emergency Services, reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to extreme inclement weather or a major incident on or near the event route. In these circumstances no refunds will be issued.

All participants agree In the event of any major occurrences along the route, the Race Director and the Emergency Services will reserve the right to alter/shorten the route, but still provide a race if possible. In these circumstances no refunds will be issued.

The Race Director and the Emergency Services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. These would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.

Event officials reserve the right to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules without notice. It is the participants’ responsibility to check the event website for any changes.

Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event.

COVID-19

Competitors should follow all COVID-19 government guidelines in place on the day of the event.

Should the event need to be cancelled following government guidelines all paid places will be transferred to our 2023 event.
